Reporting from RUSSIA
One of the many blessings in this work is partnering with individuals and Missions with the same vision as ourselves who faithfully distribute our literature, sometimes at considerable risk to themselves. Often we are encouraged as various people from across the world visit us at the factory and tell the staff of how God is blessing as the seed is sown.
The verse in Psalm 126: 6 “He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him”; is a tremendous encouragement to us as we produce the good seed of the Word of God. Also to those who are distributing it and to you our friends who are faithfully supporting us. Only eternity will reveal what has been collectively achieved by God’s grace to us all.
On the 8th of August we sent 2 pallets of literature to CEF in Portugal. This included 60,000 copies of “Meet the King” booklet and a selection of flashcard Bible lessons and 150,000 Gospel tracts for boys and girls.
On the 8th of August we sent 2 pallets of literature to CEF in Mali and 2 pallets to Brazzaville Republic of Congo. These consignments consisted of Wonder Devotional booklets Volumes 1 to 6 and also some Bible flashcard lessons.
On the 8th of August we sent 2 pallets of Bible Educational Service booklets to Emmaus in South Africa. At present they are developing the work of BES into the schools and are receiving many openings and opportunities to use the Bible Study lessons.
On the 25th of August we shipped a container to China Tourist Ministry in Macau. In this container we included 200,000 copies of the Gospel of John, 200,000 “Pardon and Assurance” booklets, 200,000 “Meet the King” booklets, as well as a large supply of Gospel leaflets. This material will be made up into gift bags and distributed to the Chinese tourists visiting Macau.

This container consisted of Scripture calendars for adults, leaflets for children and Gospels – all in the Russian language. Please continue to pray that this literature will safely arrive in Russia.
Last year we shipped a container of Russian Literature to friends in Finland – they have now distributed the Gospels and have sent the following reports and photos.
Dear Friends, we greet you warmly in the name of the LORD Jesus Christ.
As Jesus left this earth for heaven, he commanded his disciples: “Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15). This commandment wasn’t only for the disciples but for all believers in all centuries until the return of Jesus Christ. To testify of Good News about Jesus and to proclaim the Gospel – this is the most important job for all Christians over all the earth.
In our country Christians zealously participate in testifying of the Good News about Jesus Christ and to proclaim the Gospel. In nearly every church street libraries are organized with tables set up in the centre of the city. Everyone passing by is allowed to take literature that interests him – free of charge. In some areas the believers also travel to different villages where there are no churches. The believers set up their tables with Christian literature there, too. Everyone interested is freely offered the Gospel and other spiritual literature. Furthermore, lately believers have often driven to settlements and small cities with literature, going from house to house and talking with people about God and offering the Word of God.
In some places the evangelists are well received while in other places the people simply take the literature or some people get angry and drive the Christians away. But thanks to this service the Gospel is spread among people of different ages, nationalities and social classes. Many books, brochures and tracts are given out.
We are so grateful to you for your participation in this evangelism. The Gospels of Luke, which we received from you, are spread not only in the huge territory of Russia, but also in the GUS countries which is everywhere that the unregistered church serves. Most of the Gospels, which we received from you were sent to Ural, Siberia and the Far east. The Gospels were also distributed in Caucasus. A small amount (small because of the difficulties with customs and the borders between the countries) was also sent to the Republics of Central Asia. Let us pray that God would allow the seeds that were sown in the souls of these people to flourish so that these seeds would bear fruit for God’s glory. The Apostle Paul wrote in his letter to the Corinthians: “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase”. Brother-Servant Nikolaj Solotuchin and Anatolij Lomakin.
Dear Friends, may grace and peace abound to you more and more. I would like to thank you with all my heart for your support in proclaiming the Gospel to all people. We thank you deeply for the printing of the Gospel of Luke.
My name is Eugen Oljkow and I am a missionary who has been living in the region of Bergaltaj (a pagan region) for 5 years already, at the borders of Mongolia, China, Kazakhstan and Tuwa. The Gospel of Luke is a faithful companion for evangelists in all of our evangelical travels.
Why is the Gospel of Luke so important for us evangelists? In this Gospel there are three important parables by Jesus Christ that we always tell unbelievers when we have discussions with them:
1. The parable of the one who sows (chapter 8)
2. The parable of the great banquet (chapter 14)
3. The parable of the prodigal son (chapter 15).
The last parable (about the prodigal son) is the most important parable, for it helps us to describe to the sinner the situation between a lost soul and the limitless love of our heavenly Father.
We often preach on this Gospel at our evangelistic church services and tell about the parables during private discussions. I would like to briefly tell you about how we are telling about Jesus. Often we place the book table with Christian literature in the centre of the city, where there are many people. We give out tracts and also give people the Gospel of Luke. This often leads to many good discussions about God and Salvation.
This year we organized a “School for Evangelists” for the young people. First we taught how to theoretically speak with unbelievers with the help of the Gospel, after that came the practical part – we went throughout the streets of the large city of Barnaul and preached the Gospel.
Throughout the year, in winter and summer, the Good News is brought from one house to another and from one person to another. In the pictures you can see the people who deliver the books, who walk throughout the settlements and give the residents the Gospel of Luke and other Christian literature.
We have already been a few times near the legendary Mt. Belucha. This is a historic area, where traditional religious people have lived for over a hundred years. We sowed the living word of God also in their souls. We want to thank you once again for your service and teamwork in God’s field. Please pray for us. Missionary Eugen Oljkow.
Greetings to you, dear brothers and sisters. By God’s grace I am serving in evangelism. I am responsible for evangelizing the region of Kaukasus. In the winter we lead the evangelistic church services in the prayer house but in the summer we go to the people who don’t want to come to the prayer house. Together with a group of musicians from our church we evangelize in parks and near apartment house buildings. The Gospels and other literature are distributed during our evangelizing mission. During this year we have also distributed the Gospels of Luke which we received from you. The Gospels of Luke are very important for evangelizing and are well received by the people since it is a part of the Bible.
Most of the people listen carefully and receive the Word of God. Sometimes Satan, through his people, tries to frighten us and hinder our work but thanks be to God for He lets us triumph in Christ always. Every incident beckons a great amount of people and even more listeners accept the Good News.
For instance, one time we came to the city park in Ejsk to evangelize with our music group there. It was a celebration day and many people were walking around the park. We set up our amplifiers and music instruments and began to play Christian music in order to gather people. Suddenly a large man came to us who was not quite sober.
“Take your equipment and go away! Away with you! You have no right to be here!” he said roughly, and began to pull out cables from the electronic piano and the amplifier.
“Who are you? Do you have the right to behave in such a furious manner?” we asked him. “Me? I am the director of this park! I paid the rent for every square meter of this park! Away with you”! The man hit a brother with his fist.
Then the brother-servant from Ejsk took the microphone and said: “Honored citizens, this man will now explain his position and behaviour, why he is acting this way and disturbing us!”
“I will explain nothing!” the man said, confused. Because of this incident many people gathered around us. Soon even the police arrived. The excited people told them: “This drunk man is spouting nonsense and disturbing us from listening to the good music!”
The Police led the director aside. During this time we held the evangelistic church service undisturbed. Instead of stopping us from having our church service the director did quite the opposite: he helped us, for many people gathered to listen because of his behaviour. The people heard the Word of God and Christian songs. Nearby the Christians set up a table with the Gospels and other Christian literature and gave out the literature to everyone interested. Afterwards the director came to the brothers ashamed and said: “Young people, please forgive me, if God so wills it”. And so God turned the bad into good!
One time another interesting event took place. We had planned an evangelistic meeting in a small city in our region. I found a convenient place for it in advance – a small platform with benches around it, situated between the apartment house buildings. As we came to this place at the appointed time we noticed that a political gathering was happening there. The mayor of this city was speaking to his citizens.
Confused, we stood nearby without knowing what we should do next. “Now the evangelizing is definitely ruined”, I thought sadly. At the same time the people began to discuss something excitedly with the mayor. The citizens were very resentful and were making some kind of accusations to the mayor. The mayor was not feeling well and wanted to end the gathering quickly. Then I thought: “We should wait. It appears as though the meeting will soon be over”. This actually happened. After 10 minutes the mayor stepped of the platform. We collected our things and began to calmly set up our instruments and amplifiers. The mayor saw this and was happy about such unexpected “support”.
“Good job, young people! Please sing and play!” he encouraged us. “Honored citizens, do not go away! Now these people are going to sing and play just for you!” he exclaimed to the listeners. The interested people didn’t move and remained standing. This way they also heard the Word of God and Christian Music. God’s ways are wonderful as He uses different people for His purposes! Dear Friends, we thank you deeply for your support and especially for the Gospels of Luke which you sent us! May God bless you and repay you for that, too. Peter Kostjuchenko.
Dear Brother Samuel, We are preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom to all on the Wits University Campus this week, leading to the mass outreach on Saturday the 16th of August at the Great Hall on the East Campus. Dining halls, residents, gathering places from student to student, door to door, no one will be left out. Testimonies will be shared, Gospel booklets distributed, Scriptures proclaimed by every means possible, so that the Gospel will be proclaimed.
We thank Revival Movement Association for providing the Gospels of John, the “Escape the Trap” Gospel booklet and a variety of Gospel leaflets. The printed page is one of the evangelism tools that we are using this week to reach out to those on the different campuses. Please continue to remember these saints in prayer as they boldly preach the Gospel on the Wits Campuses.
The “Escape the Trap” booklet that was specially supplied to us for our University ministry has made a huge impact on the lives of many students. Many have surrendered to Christ, many have been delivered and many have sought help through the guidelines available. We are sending you some photographs from the outreach at the University and also from our weekly meetings and from a Baptismal service that we conducted. … John and Helen Smith, South Africa.
Please pray that the Lord will continue to use the literature for the Salvation of precious souls. We are preparing to send container loads of literature during the incoming month to India, South Africa, Brazil, Argentina and Burkina Faso.
Yours for a Great Revival,
Samuel Adams Clive Allen
