The impact of Gospel Literature in S. America, Philippines and Belfast

A Baptismal service taking place in the North of Brazil.

Dear Friend,
One of the facts about the world we live in is that it is very unstable. This year countries that had seemed peaceful have seen unprecedented uprisings. As we watch from afar our hearts go out to children and families caught up in the violence. Two reasons for this turmoil come to mind immediately:
Firstly, as Jeremiah 17: 9 reminds us, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” Secondly, false religion produces these harsh and cruel societies.
We serve a loving and just God. He dealt with our sin at Calvary and so we can proclaim the message of John 3: 16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” with confidence. Please pray that, as the Gospel Literature is sent out from our factory, it may penetrate these harsh and cruel societies – and that many will pass from death unto life and serve our risen Saviour. Thank you each one for being such a vital part of this ministry.

The leaders of Bible Educational Services when they visited our factory. A total of 16 nationalities were present, covering Africa, India, Europe. This ministry has also been known as Postal Bible Sunday School.
“Dear Samuel, I write on behalf of the Bible Educational Services trustees to express our very grateful thanks to you, and all your staff, for the great help that you were when we visited your factory on the 28th April. I know everyone who was there was thrilled with all that they saw – particularly the foreign delegates when they found tracts and Gospels in their own language. Thank you for taking time to talk to the individual delegates and we hope that this was very useful and will give you good contacts and potential work for these particular countries.
I shall never forget the excitement of the Zambian folks when they saw all the boxes labelled for Zambia, the joy of the Ghanian’s when they saw the massive heap ready for Ghana. More practically our South African delegate counted the boxes and wondered how he was going to move them around and where he was going to store them! But all of them were so grateful for all that you have done in producing the A series and the B series of lessons for Africa. We feel that it is our responsibility to ensure that every single lesson will be used in the best possible way to encourage children in these countries to study God’s Word and bring them closer to Him.
Regarding the actual samples of the lessons I would like to say how thrilled I was to see the actual quality. May the Lord encourage you, bless you and use you all, as a team, as you work in this wonderful way. We trust that the Lord will continue to meet all of your needs according to His riches in Christ Jesus. Stephen Gillham, National Secretary to Bible Educational Services.

“Dear friends, Many thanks to Revival Movement for their wonderful provision of the Wonder Devotional books in Portuguese for our country. We have now safely received the 1.2 million booklets which you sent. From the very moment that the first shipment was received we started to send them to various locations – to churches and local CEF workers. By now the Wonder Devotional books have reached 42 different locations and thousands were distributed. We have heard about a Gypsy club in San Paulo where all the kids are following the booklet and many teachers said that it is a great help to them as the children can grow spiritually. It is all because of their love towards boys and girls in Brazil. Thank you.

Please pray for a meeting of Brazilian CEF workers at the end of July and for the big Congress of all the children’s workers and child evangelists that will gather – over one thousand people at the beginning of August. Our main purpose is to give out booklets at the Congress so that participants will go back fully equipped. We want to assure you that we appreciate a lot your contribution towards the ministry to boys and girls in Brazil. We would also like to ask you to consider printing “Meet the King” for a large World Cup outreach that we plan to start already in 2012. We thank the Lord for you. Gilberto Celeti, CEF Brazil.

“Dear Brother Samuel, First of all we want to thank you for the container of evangelistic literature that you sent to us some time ago. We appreciated it very much. We are very grateful and thank the Lord for your help and fellowship which we have enjoyed for so many years. It has been a great blessing and encouragement to all of us.

We have taken the Gospels of John and the Gospel tracts to lots of towns and villages in Venezuela and serve a great number of local churches. The first trip that we made was to the Eastern region of the country. We travelled about 1,300 kilometres and arrived at a place called Guiria. The most important thing is that the message of the Gospel will go out and people will come to know Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour.

Last year we have been able to make 52 trips for the distribution of the literature which means we have many assisting churches in 14 of the provinces of Venezuela. We had the privilege to bless more than 400 churches with evangelistic literature. Praise the Lord for permitting us and for giving us the privilege to share His Word so that His glory will be known in the land of Venezuela! We also have a training programme in order to prepare people for child evangelism. At the end of the course we gave a set of your Bible lessons to children to be used in their churches. Every year we are training some 400 to 500 people.

But it has not all been easy. About 4 months ago Douglas was attacked and robbed by some criminals. It was during a literature distribution in a small village in the interior of the country. They broke one of the windows of the van and robbed his bag with his entire documents, his agenda and money. But, in spite of all, we praise the Lord for His goodness and His mercy endures forever. We want to thank the Revival Movement, and all the workers, for the blessing to the Church in Venezuela for all of the Gospel literature they need for the expansion of the Gospel in our territory. May the Lord bless your lives in a special way in His service. Pastor Engels, Douglas and Swannie Pacheco .

“Dear friends, Many blessings to you in the mighty Name of the Lord! I would like to share my beautiful testimony with you. Twenty years ago in January 1991 I got gloriously saved through reading the booklet called “Pardon for Sin and Assurance of Peace with God” which had the Oakland Avenue address on it. I requested more information on the Lord Jesus and was sent this precious booklet a few days later 20 years ago.
I have the letter and this booklet all these years and have taken good care of them. They are in mint condition. The Lord has been so wonderful to me all these years, even before I got saved, but especially since I got saved.
After getting saved in 1991 I didn’t go to church or have a Bible because, coming from a Catholic background, I didn’t know what church to go to or what Bible I should read because I never had a Bible before. Three years later, two born again Christians called at my door and asked me to go to the church so I did. At this church I grew in the Lord and in the things of God. I was baptized and continued with my relationship with the Lord throughout.
When I told my family that I got saved they began to distance themselves from me. I haven’t had much contact from them in the past 20 years and friends fell away too, but the Lord has always been there for me and gave me amazing courage and strength to go on in my walk with Him – and He has blessed me so much. I have a husband of 20 years (not saved yet) and two grown-up children (saved) and we are a close-knit family.
I know by reading this booklet that it had a major part in my salvation. It just seemed to speak to me and it helped me to surrender my whole life to the Lord in prayer and brought about my salvation. I don’t know who sent the booklet to me, but I am forever grateful and thankful. Keep up the good work and may the Lord continue to bless all of you for your obedience to the Lord and explaining the Gospel message of God’s love and grace for your labour is not in vain. Many blessings in Jesus’ Name. M … in Belfast.

“Dear brother Samuel, Thank you for your enormous blessing again for the Philippines through the upcoming shipment. We have just completed a crusade in Bicol. We had a total attendance of 97,000 over 4 nights. A total of 21,000 decisions for Jesus Christ was recorded and, at least, 60,000 Gospels of John were distributed. The remaining 60,000 Gospels of John will then be given out during follow-up by the effort of 600 churches which were involved in the crusade.
Daphne, my daughter, came forward to recommit to follow Christ and was accompanied by two other friends to accept Jesus as their Saviour. Heaven rejoices for the multitudes who came forward. One week later after this gathering a strong typhoon battered this region. God’s timing is sovereign. To God be all the glory! Thank you for your special part in providing Gospels of John booklets. James Tioco.

Samuel Adams and Gary Bolton will be travelling to Mozambique on the 10th June – 22nd June. Please pray for safety in travel and for good health. Pray that this visit will be profitable as they meet with those who are distributing our literature in this country.

Yours for a Great Revival,

Samuel Adams              Clive Allen
