Testimonies of lives changed in South America

At Mies Foundation, we firmly believe that no one should live or die without hearing the Good News of Jesus Christ. God has called us to make true disciples of Christ—beginning in our communities and reaching the ends of the earth. With this mission in mind, we are committed to connecting people with the Sacred Scriptures.

We are deeply grateful to the Revival Movement Association in Northern Ireland for providing Christian literature and discipleship materials. With the Holy Spirit as our primary helper and ministry partners like the Revival Movement, we respond faithfully to the needs of those we serve. We pray for and equip churches with Biblical materials, empowering Christian workers to be more effective in reaching their communities with the message of salvation.

We recognize that God’s Word is the most powerful tool for transforming families, communities, towns, cities, and nations. This ministry report highlights the impact of the distributed literature, accompanied by photos and testimonies of lives touched and transformed by God’s powerful Word. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the Revival Movement Association for this meaningful collaboration with Mies Foundation.

In Puerto Rico, our main ministry partner, the Bible League of Puerto Rico, is responsible for distributing the materials. Its president, Efraín Burgos, shares: “The work of evangelism and discipleship continues. We remain committed to spreading the Word of God and seizing every opportunity to reach people through our ministry. Ministerial alliances are an answer to our prayers, helping us advance our mission of distributing the Word of God across the island. We partner with churches, denominations, and ministries to impact diverse populations.

Together, we organize evangelism workshops, training sessions for Bible League programs, and church planting initiatives. Additionally, we are promoting “Global Evangelism Month” in May, during which churches in Puerto Rico will evangelize in communities and public spaces across various towns. We give Glory to God!

We know that this literature is not just for individuals, but entire families and communities that need to be reached by Jesus Christ. We thank Revival Movement for trusting our mission to continue reaching lives and we desire to keep partnering in the mission of spreading the Word of God, especially in places where access to it is limited.

José Collazo - Community Coordinator - Bethesda Christian Church, along with its pastors and ministry team, expresses heartfelt gratitude to all who worked together in this mission at the Health Centre. Their dedication and effort in this noble cause have been invaluable. With your support, we reached 75 young people and adults with a message of hope and transformation. Each participant left renewed, with a fresh perspective on life and a desire to draw closer to God. This event was not just an opportunity to share the Word but also a chance to strengthen community bonds and aid those most in need.

Martín Oyola - Mobilizing Missionary-Chaplain - Martín shares a powerful testimony of a life transformed. As a teenager, he endured hardships no one should have to face. At 15, his life was marked by drug use, dropping out of school, and feelings of abandonment. However, a dramatic change set him on a path to a hopeful future.

Today, he dedicates his life to sharing his testimony and the transformation he experienced. Through his faith, he has helped many find a path to hope. Martín ministers to inmates at the “1072 Prison” in Bayamón. Each week, he visits approximately 116 men, offering support and spiritual guidance.

Martín feels called to extend his message to other parts of Puerto Rico where resources are scarce. He is grateful for the opportunities and for the literature that allow him to share his story and proclaim the message of the great “I Am.”

Venezuela - My name is Erika Dominguez, and I lead the Ministry of Making Disciples (MHAD). Today, we want to share how the ministry materials received through Mies Foundation are impacting young people, men, women, military personnel, police officers, and inmates. These materials serve as books of hope, transforming lives.

Each piece of literature represents an opportunity for someone to encounter God’s Word and discover their divine purpose. Together, we work to evangelize and disciple new believers worldwide. Thank you for being part of this effort. Let’s continue working together so that more people receive this eternal gift. Christian workers, equipped with Biblical literature, go out into the streets to evangelize, bringing hope to those in need.

Dominican Republic - I am Israel Espinal from the Dominican Republic, and we are deeply grateful to God for providing Christian literature and discipleship materials to strengthen new believers in our country. These materials have been distributed nationwide and placed in the hands of those who are being reached with the Gospel of Jesus.

As part of our training and outreach programs, every church planter at the national level receives Bibles and additional materials to disciple their communities. So far, 622 church planters have been trained and sent to minister in their designated areas. Additionally, we have distributed the New Testaments to men and women in prisons across the country.

A Light in the Darkness - Where isolation, pain, and abandonment reach their peak, prisons often become places overshadowed by darkness, both in mind and heart. Yet even in these conditions, God’s hand reaches out to save souls, drawing them out of despair and into His marvelous light.

The prison bars have not stopped inmates from experiencing true freedom and encountering a God who sees them, knows them, and loves them. Men and women in Najayo Prison, Dominican Republic, are being ministered to through the Word of God, finding hope and transformation in His presence.

Testimony of Pastor Jorge Ferreras - Pastor Jorge has been actively working with “God’s Vision for This Time” an initiative centred on Growth Groups and Church Planting. He shares how God placed this mission in his heart and confirmed it through His support from the Revival Movement and Mies Foundation.

Recently, they received a donation of Bibles for a newly established church, along with 46 Healthy Growth Group books for a workshop designed for pastors and church leaders. He expresses deep gratitude for these resources, emphasizing how they have strengthened their mission and allowed them to experience the movement of God in their work. “Thank you for being instruments of God in blessing us with effective tools to advance this great vision.”

Testimony of Scarlet Pacheco, Church Planter - Jacot, Haiti - Scarlet Pacheco, a 40-year-old church planter, has devoted 15 years to ministry. Though originally trained as a medical professional, she felt a deep calling to serve God, leading her to establish churches and minister to communities in need. Over the years, she has witnessed both immense challenges and God’s miraculous transformations in the lives of those she serves.

Her ministry focuses on supporting the most vulnerable, including victims of domestic violence. Through counseling and spiritual guidance, she has helped many find hope and healing. Now a member of the ministry leadership team, Scarlet continues to expand the work of church planting in Haiti.

Mies Foundation has played a crucial role in supporting evangelistic medical missions by providing Biblical materials for distribution in the Dominican Republic, Venezuela and Haiti. These efforts are conducted in partnership with the Bible League of Puerto Rico, leveraging healthcare as a gateway to spreading the Gospel and bringing both social outreach and spiritual transformation.

A team of interdenominational physicians—including paediatricians, general practitioners, cardiologists, dentists, and other specialists—volunteer their skills to further God’s kingdom. Each local pastor continues the discipleship work, fostering spiritual growth beyond the initial outreach. Through these missions, the Gospel is transforming lives—one patient at a time.
