Every Home for Christ (EHC) Report - Cote D'Ivoire
From January to september 2025, EHC Côte d'Ivoire, in collaboration with its partner churches, carried out missionary activities in several regions and intervention areas. Through the distribution of R M A tracts and scripture booklets, the message of God's love was carried to the regions of Bas-Sassandra, Abidjan, Sud-Comoé, Sassandra-Marahoué, Vallee du Bandama and Savanes.
The various activities, led by dynamic and committed volunteers, involved the departments of San-Pédro, Globonoudan, Tiapoum, Daloa, Aboisso, Bonoua, katiola, and Cocody.
During a period of nine (9) months of field activities, a total of 39 partner churches were mobilized, bringing together 867 committed volunteers. They actively participated in evangelism through the distribution of 303 173 tracts and booklets in homes, public places, schools, and other spheres of our activities.
The booklets distributed included, among others, the titles "The Path to God," "God Loves You," as well as other scriptural materials produced by WMP. These tools were powerful ways to touch hearts and proclaim God's love in several localities.
As a result of this campaign, 968 people responded positively to the gospel message. Of these, 475 received follow-up care, and 317 were integrated into partner churches to continue their spiritual growth.
By the grace of God, 63 people were baptized during this period.
Missionary outreach has also led to the creation of 22 Christian groups in various localities, including Tiapoum, Daloa, Méagui, Oupoyo, and other areas visited.
These groups meet regularly for prayer, Bible reading, and teaching, thus consolidating the impact of evangelistic work and ensuring sustainable community outreach.
A Testimony of Salvation
Our local assembly decided to conduct evangelistic campaigns in schools and universities. That day, the atmosphere in the city of Bouaké was heavy with dark clouds. Rain threatened to fall. Nevertheless, we decided to go and fulfill our mission: to present God's love to the students. We had not received permission from the educational authorities to enter this university. So, we began distributing leaflets, and especially the booklet "Battle for Youth," around the school. During our distribution, a student refused to take the booklet. After encouraging him to take and read it, he accepted. A few hours later, we received several phone calls from the same number. Upon noticing this repeated call, we called the person concerned back, who issued a cry of distress. Yahakan decided to meet with us urgently. When we arrived at the meeting place, what a surprise. "We found a young man in tears, holding the Battle for Youth booklet. Beside him were some objects and a rope that he had placed on a large plank in the ceiling of this house to hang himself and end his life. Why do you want to do this?" said the pastor.
The answer he gave the pastor was this: "I can't take it anymore. I've joined a powerful and destructive system that holds me accountable. There are several of us students in this system, and we're looking for financial well-being and a good social position at the end of our university studies. I want to turn back, but it's impossible. Because I have pledged allegiance to their great master. I am overwhelmed and oppressed on all sides. So, for me, the solution is death. But after reading this booklet entitled "Battle for Youth," I understood that there could be hope for me through my other good choice. I no longer want to kill myself by hanging myself. Help me learn more!" With this, the pastor led him on the path of God's will for his life. Yahakan began to cry and confessed all his sins. He decided to give his life to Jesus. At the end of his prayer of repentance and acceptance of Jesus as his Savior, he said, "But what joy has filled me like this? And then I felt an enormous weight lift away!"
"You have received forgiveness of your sins; from now on, you are a child of God. We will help you know Christ better." These were the last words of the pastor as he left with all the objects and accessories of this suicide attempt. The devil has failed again, and Jesus has always won.
Glory to God for this soul delivered and saved for the kingdom of God!
